Beef Stir Fry with Bok Choy


Ingredients of Beef Stir Fry with Bok Choy

Beef Marinade:

1 - One cup white wine
2 - One lb sirloin beef, thinly sliced
3 - Two tbsp cornstarch
4 - One tsp salt
5 - One tsp freshly ground black pepper
For Sauce Preparation :
1 - Two tbsp vegetable oil, divided
2 - One onion, peeled and thinly sliced
3 - One tbsp minced garlic
4 - One cup beef stock
5 - One tbsp dark soya sauce
6 - Two tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 4 tbsp water
7 - Three cups chopped bok choy
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

How to Prepare the Recipe :

First combine white wine and beef In a large glass or ceramic bowl and stir to coat. Now add cornstarch, salt and pepper and mix them well. Chill for 25 to 30 minutes.
With a slotted spoon, remove meat from the marinade and Set liquid aside.
In a nonstick wok or skillet, heat One tbsp oil over high heat for almost 45 seconds. Add beef and stir-fry until it begins to brown and no redness is visible, about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to warm plate and Set aside.Return pan to high heat. Add remaining One tbsp oil and heat for 30 seconds. Now add onion and garlic, stir fry until onion begins to soften. Add beef stock and soya sauce; bring to a boil, stirring to thicken.
Add bok choy and stir until then just begin to wilt. Return beef to pan and stir to heat through about 2 minutes.Transfer to a warm platter and serve immediately with steamed rice.
