Chana Chaat
Ingredients of Chana Chaat
1 - One cup cooked chana /chickpeas (I prefer fresh not canned!)
2 - half to three-quarter cup sweet Tamarind sauce
3 - Three potatoes ( peeled diced into tiny pieces and then boiled until soft & drained )
4 - One onion ( diced very finely )
5 - One Lemon juice
6 - One teaspoon red Chilli powder
7 - One teaspoon freshly ground Cumin powder
8 - One teaspoon red Chilli flakes
9 - 2 to 3 green chillies ( chopped )
10 - some coriander ( chopped )
11 - salt to taste
How to Prepare :
Mix all the ingredients together. Taste and adjust flavours according to preference. Serve Chana Chaat in pooris with sev sprinkled on top or can be had in a bowl with crushed crispy papuri. I served this in pooris, and loved the burst of flavours when biting into the pooris! Chana Chaat is Very yummy and quite healthy
